Learn About Locating in Puerto Rico

By now, you most likely know that I moved to Puerto Rico and, while I'm sure you have also heard that there are many tax incentives and other financial reasons to move or start a company here, that was not my reason for relocating. I did it simply because I LOVE IT HERE! The people make this beautiful island special. On top of that, I have come to adore the culture, lifestyle and, of course, the sunny weather. I was quickly hooked!

The startup community in Puerto Rico has been especially welcoming to me and eager to learn from my experience as a long-time investor and entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, and I could not be more pleased than to do everything I can to help the community reach its goal of turning Puerto Rico into a global innovation hub - a goal that has now become my life purpose and mission.

To that end, while I encourage everyone to consider relocating or starting a business in Puerto Rico, I also urge you to do so only if you:

    1. LOVE the island.  You absolutely must be happy wherever you live. Money is never enough to make up for your happiness. Visit before making the leap to make sure PR is right for you. (It will be 🙂 )
    2. Intend to assimilate. While those who arrive in PR purely to take advantage of tax incentives do inject large amounts of capital into various portions of the economy, it is my personal opinion that that is not enough. There are a vast array of opportunities to get involved and be a part of the incredible growth-story we are currently writing. If you are not sure how to get involved - ask
